Erin graduated from the University of New Hampshire with a Bachelors Degree in Psychology in 2001 and then in 2004 from Western Kentucky University with a Master's Degree in Counseling with a focus in Marriage and Family Therapy. Erin has worked with individuals of all ages and in a variety of settings such as a group home for boys, an adult crisis center, a community mental health center, an inpatient psychiatric hospital and for the past 16 years in private practice. Erin opened Alliance Counseling Associates in January of 2011 and greatly enjoys growing the practice to be able to help as many people in our communities as possible. When she is able to see clients, her passion is helping adolescents and adults work through trauma, depression and general challenges that life brings our way. Erin has extensive training in trauma interventions, trauma-informed care, Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and substance use interventions. She is also certified in the Gottman 10 Core Principles for Effective Couples Therapy as well as a Board Certified Tele-Mental Health Provider. Erin serves as the Clinical Services Supervisor for Alliance Counseling Associate's Alcohol and Other Drug Entity (AODE) licensure through OIG in Kentucky and is the social-media and website creator and administrator for Alliance Counseling. In her free time Erin most enjoys spending time with her husband and children, traveling, a good Netflix binge, suspense novels and one day hopes to retire at the beach.
