In need of Counseling? If you’re in the state of Kentucky, we can see you online from wherever you are!
Telehealth – also known as Online Counseling – is a whole new world for mental health services! This allows you to get counseling on your terms from exactly where you are right now.
Our fast-paced, busy lifestyle often limits our ability to carve out the time for self-care, to include mental health treatment. We offer online counseling as a way to help people achieve their therapeutic goals while appreciating the need for convenience, privacy and a sense of comfort in one’s own private setting. Online counseling is an opportunity to make the best of our busy schedules.
Online Counseling is designed to help people access our counseling services from anywhere in Kentucky. Research has proven that the outcome of therapy is just as successful online as it is in person and for some individuals even more so!
Let’s talk about some of the benefits of online counseling.
It’s Convenient! Not everyone’s schedule allows for the time it takes to get to a counselors office. Maybe you have to work, have a sick child, are sick yourself but not feeling well enough to get out of the house, don’t have transportation, are a minor and unable to drive…the list goes on!
It’s Accessible! Perhaps you live in rural area and your options for mental health and substance use services are limited or you have a physical health problem or disability that doesn’t allow you get to an office setting. Being able to access services online removes those barriers! You can now choose to see a high quality therapist from where you are right now.
It Provides Comfort! Children and teenagers are very comfortable with using the internet and therefore more easily encouraged to get the help they need. There is also, sadly, still a stigma associated with getting help for a mental health or substance use problem and some individuals like the anonymity of seeking services online. The greater the comfort level the greater the chance people will reach out for help!
